Australia's first carbon neutral power board
Crest Electronics and the Carbon Reduction Institute have developed the world’s first carbon neutral power board! The Crest Earth Smart is a multi-plug power board with the added benefit of superior surge protection that automatically powers off all bar one component with one switch, eliminating standby power as though each device has been turned off at the wall. And because it is Carbon Reduction Institute certified, you can rest assured that each Crest Earth Smart Power Board is “carbon neutral”. Crest Electronics have committed to offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions of the Intellipanel Earth Smart and Earth Smart Powerboards created from ‘Cradle to Consumer.’ The Cradle to Consumer Impact Analysis ‘system’ measurement does not include emissions in the use stage of the product or produced through the end of life disposal. It includes the life cycle emissions from extracting and processing raw materials, assembly of the board, packaging and freight to the final customer. We have not included emissions in use phase as we do not have control over how the boards are used and how they are disposed.
